The situation

The problem is rarely effort. It is management maturity.

Most companies recognize the symptoms immediately. What they cannot do is name the level their management system is operating at — which is exactly what this assessment determines.

  • Decisions are made in meetings, but weeks later nobody can say who owned the follow-up.
  • Indicators exist somewhere in a spreadsheet, yet management still runs on instinct.
  • Practices work while one specific person is present — and stop when that person is not.
  • Each site, crew or team is managed differently, so nothing can be compared.
  • Planning is done, but never formally closed.
  • Nobody can say, in one sentence, how mature the management of the business actually is.

6 pillars

The six pillars of the MGO™ Program

The 90 questions are distributed across these six pillars. Each one is assessed in its own right, because maturity is rarely uniform — strong execution can coexist with weak governance.

01

Leadership

How direction is set, decisions are made and management behavior is modeled at the top of the operation.
02

Governance

How roles, decision rights, rules and management routines are defined so the business does not run on improvisation.
03

Metrics

Whether indicators exist, are reliable, and are actually used to steer the business rather than to report the past.
04

Planning

How objectives are turned into plans with owners, sequence and resources, on a cadence the organization respects.
05

Execution

Whether decisions become owned actions that are followed through, reviewed and closed instead of quietly fading.
06

Succession

How dependent the operation is on specific individuals, and how deliberately capability is developed and transferred.

Maturity

Five maturity levels, from N1 to N5

The assessment places your management system at one of five levels. The level is not a grade — it is a description of how your management actually works today, and it defines what needs to change to move up.

N1

Dependent

The operation depends heavily on specific individuals. Decisions are centralized, autonomy is low and consistent management processes are lacking.

N2

Reactive

The operation primarily reacts to problems and urgencies. Some management practices exist, but predictability and standardization are limited and escalations remain frequent.

N3

Structured

Processes, indicators and responsibilities are defined. Management is becoming more consistent, although dependencies, execution variations and meaningful improvement opportunities remain.

N4

Manageable

Governance is established, indicators are reliable and the management layer can lead the operation with autonomy, predictability and management discipline.

N5

Scalable

The operation is sustainable and predictable, with mature leadership, structured succession and the ability to support new levels of growth.

Your evaluation names your level, explains what it means for your operation, and shows where each of the six pillars stands within it.

How it works

From 90 questions to a personalized evaluation

The assessment is self-service from start to finish. There is no meeting to schedule and no consultant assigned — and no instant automatic score either.

Step 01

You get access to the assessment

The MGO™ Management Maturity Assessment is a self-service product. Once you start, you work through it on your own schedule — no meetings to book, no consultant assigned.

Step 02

You answer 90 questions

Ninety structured questions distributed across the six pillars: Leadership, Governance, Metrics, Planning, Execution and Succession. They are answered from current operating knowledge.

Step 03

Your answers are evaluated

The result is not instant. Your responses are evaluated against the MGO™ Program criteria to produce a personalized reading of your management system, not an automatic score on screen.

Step 04

You receive your personalized evaluation

You receive your maturity level from N1 to N5, your standing on each of the six pillars, and the gaps identified — written for the people who run the business.

Deliverables

What you receive

A clear reading of where your management system stands — expressed in the language the people who run the business already use.

Your maturity level, N1 to N5

One consolidated maturity level for your management system, with the definition of what that level means for how you operate today.

Result by pillar

Where you stand on each of the six pillars — Leadership, Governance, Metrics, Planning, Execution and Succession — so uneven maturity becomes visible.

Identified gaps

A plain-language description of the specific gaps the assessment surfaced, pillar by pillar, without jargon or audit language.

Personalized evaluation, not a template

The evaluation is written against your answers. It is not a generic report generated the moment you click submit.

What is not included: implementation, consulting, advisory services and ongoing monitoring. This is an assessment.

Who it's for

Built for U.S. B2B management teams

It is designed for people who are accountable for how the business is managed — and who want that stated precisely instead of debated.

A good fit

  • U.S. B2B companies where growth has outpaced the management structure
  • Owners and executives who suspect the operation depends too much on specific individuals
  • Operations and general managers who want a clear starting point before changing anything
  • Leadership teams that need one shared, comparable reading of management maturity
  • Companies with several sites or crews managed in noticeably different ways

Not a fit

  • Anyone looking for a free generic online quiz with an instant score
  • Organizations seeking a certification, license, accreditation or audit opinion
  • Buyers who expect implementation, consulting, advisory or ongoing monitoring — none of that is included

Methodology

Built on the MGO™ Program

The MGO™ Program is the management methodology developed by Binary ITs™. It organizes management into six pillars — Leadership, Governance, Metrics, Planning, Execution and Succession — and defines what maturity looks like at each level from N1 to N5.

The MGO™ Management Maturity Assessment is the measurement instrument of that methodology. It establishes the current level so that anything decided afterwards starts from a defined baseline rather than a fresh round of opinions.

Methodology and assessment by Binary ITs™

Why it holds up

An assessment product with clear limits: no certification, no audit, no implementation, no consulting, no monitoring.
